Marine construction dates back to ancient civilizations that built harbors and seawalls to support trade and travel. Over the centuries, the industry has evolved from using timber and stone to advanced materials like concrete and steel. Today, marine construction is a time-tested trade with modern technology that provides durable, sustainable, and environmentally responsible waterfront structures.

With over 30 years of experience and a proven track record in large seawall projects across South Florida, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality workmanship and timely execution. As we expand, our new executive team brings extensive expertise from the Oil and Gas industry, allowing us to integrate innovative strategies and enhance our service offerings to solidify our position as a premier provider in the marine construction sector.

We are a tightly-knit team of marine construction professionals. Our leadership team consists of our three principles, with CMC having more than five expert crews in the field.
ROBERT FERRING
Partner and project manager
Robert is an award-winning builder with over 30+ years of hands-on experience in marine construction. Robert is considered an expert in the designing, building, and maintaining of seawalls, decks, and other waterfront structures. Robert has become known in the industry for his specialty in marine construction techniques and innovative maintenance methods for coastal environmental assets.
AUSTIN BURNEO
President / CEO
Formerly a leader in the oil and gas industry for 15+ years, Austin also has vast experience in marine construction. Austin brings a unique blend of operational expertise, project management, and field experience, which allows CMC to deliver high-quality coastal protection solutions. Austin graduated from Texas A&M and was formerly a Reserve Merchant Marine, winning "Cadet of the Year" in 2010.
Beatriz Calis
Vice-President / MARKETING
Beatriz oversees and integrates the company’s marketing, logistics, and customer sales functions to drive CMC's growth and operational efficiency. Beatriz is a student of the arts, with deep experience in developing marketing strategies that translate into sales and build brand awareness. Beatriz also leads the sales team to secure and maintain client relationships and satisfaction.
